Guided Full Day & Half Day Rides

A visit to the Wild Wild West is incomplete unless experienced by horseback. The Red Rock Ranch invites non-lodging guests to join us for unforgettable guided Jackson Hole horseback riding. Escape into solitude with marvelous 360 degree views of the Tetons Mountain Range and Crystal Creek Valley from atop a well-trained steed. Brisk mornings and pleasantly mild afternoons allow for trail rides that savor in all that nature offers. Experience bald eagles coasting above and elk roaming below. Experience the Old West like never before. 

Set out on a cowboy adventure for a full-day or half-day ride. No cowboy experience necessary but cowboy hospitality will be shared. Our trusted wranglers will guide you beyond your wildest wild west dreams. Hear stories about the homesteading history of the ranch and the pioneer forefathers of the area. Learn about life on one of Wyoming’s oldest ranches. Our guided horseback trail rides are for perfect for ranch first-timers and area locals who need a nearby getaway. 

Full Day Jackson Hole Horseback Rides – $235

Saddle up for a day of spectacular views and legendary stories. Our full-day guided rides head out at 9:00AM and return between 2:00PM and 3:00PM depending on riding speed and experience. Saddle bag lunches including a sandwich, cookie, and chips are provided. Deli-style sandwich sheets will be emailed for riders to fill out and return the day before visiting. 

Half Day Jackson Hole Horseback Rides – $175

Hit the trail in the morning and have all afternoon to revel in the experience. Our half-day guided rides are scheduled for 9:00AM – 12:00PM. We allow for an extra hour on trail due to variances in riding speed. Half day rides may return closer to 1:00PM. Lunch is not provided. Kate’s Bars are available for sale. 

Our guided Jackson Hole horseback riding is offered Monday – Saturday from the beginning of our summer season until September 3oth . We ask that day riders arrive and check-in an hour earlier than their scheduled ride to fill out paperwork and attend a 45-minute orientation. Signs in the guest parking lot will direct you to check-in at our main office. All day riding groups are kept at 10 or less riders and are assigned 2 or more guides. Each rider is fitted with a horse to match their capabilities during orientation. Your saddle bag will be where you keep your belongings during the ride.

What to Bring:

  • Closed-toe boots with at least a 1 – 2 in heels are required. No laces. No sandals.
    If you do not have appropriate boots, we can provide loaners.
  • A water bottle no bigger than 24oz.
  • A secured hat with a hat string or chin strap and baseball caps (if they fit properly) are acceptable. This prevents hats from flying off and startling horses.
  • Sunscreen is recommended. If forgotten, we can provide during orientation.
  • Bug spray is recommended. If forgotten, we can provide during orientation.
  • Jeans or other long pants are recommended, but not required.
