Guests of Red Rock Ranch never suffer from a lack of things to see and do. We offer hiking, horseback riding, fly fishing, swimming, square dances, a saloon, and much more. Stays at our Jackson Hole dude ranch are also all inclusive, so your every need will be taken care of.
That being said, there are some nearby attractions you may want to check out during your stay or while traveling to or from your ranch vacation.
The Bridger Gondola is one such local highlight, a popular Jackson Hole attraction that will take you to new heights. 9,095 feet, in fact!
Ride Bridger Gondola
Bridger Gondola is located in Teton Village, WY, about an hour southwest of Red Rock Ranch, on the other side of the Snake River.
The gondola, operated by Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, lifts you up above the valley floor to the high alpine terrain of the Tetons with a safe and private, 12 minute ride. You’ll marvel at the sweeping views as you rise but you just wait. That’s not all!
Once you’ve reached the top, you’ll discover myriad high altitude adventures to choose from, including hiking, climbing, yoga, and dining.
The gondola disembarks just outside Piste Mountain Bistro, which offers delicious summer dinners, drinks, and those amazing views. Dinner at Piste Mountain Bistro runs from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, with free gondola access after 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.
Those arriving outside the dinner schedule or looking even better views to go with their drink should consider The Deck @ Piste.
The Deck’s summer menu of appetizers and shared plates helps to make their happy hour one of the very best in the valley. Open at 4:30pm, with free gondola access after 5pm, mid-June through early-September. Seating is limited, so first come, first serve.
The Off Piste Market is your alpine source for snacks, small essentials like sunscreen or phone chargers, beer, wine, or espresso. They even make waffles to order!
Alpine Adventures
Eating, drinking, and gawking aren’t the only activities once you leave the gondola, not by a long shot. Alpine adventurers will also discover a wealth of hiking trails leading through fields of wildflowers and up rugged mountains for stunning, panoramic views.
You can also sign up for a guided climbing adventure on Jackson Hole’s high alpine terrain. The Resort’s Via Ferrata guided climbing experience will take you across suspended bridges and along sheer granite walls, all high above the valley floor.
You can also experience elevated Yoga on the Deck at the top of the Bridger Gondola. Classes run from 9:30am to 10:30am and they even sell yoga mats at the Off Piste Market, if you forgot yours.
Ticketed, gondola rides are available in summer from 9am to 4pm. Riding the gondola after 5pm is free. The last gondola up leaves at 8:30pm, the last one down at 9pm. Visit the gondola webpage for more information.
Enjoy an all-inclusive, dude ranch stay at Red Rock Ranch but don’t forget to explore the area for nearby attractions. Wyoming is a land of western wonders that we love sharing with all our guests. See y’all soon!
