While most of the folks who come to Red Rock Ranch don’t leave during their stay, it makes sense to schedule a little time for yourself before or after your visit. The Jackson Hole area has numerous attractions worthy of your attention. Places like Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park, or attractions like the Jackson Hole Rodeo.
Fans of high-flying fun and other adrenalin junkies may want to consider a summer stop at Snow King Mountain.
Snow King Alpine Slide, Ziplines, & More!
While Snow King Mountain’s winter offerings include alpine and x-country skiing, snowboarding, lessons, and on-site rentals, summer is a whole other thing. Every year, between late May and early October, the resort turns into a summer fun zone with lots of high energy activities to choose from.
The half-mile long Snow King Alpine Slide, for example, drops 350 vertical feet and is Jackson’s only alpine slide. This popular thrill ride zooms through banked turns and down dips at speeds up to 25 miles per hour – but you’re in control.
The Snow King Cowboy Coaster offers similar thrills. Enjoy nearly a mile of loops, curves, twists, and turns as you drop 456 vertical feet through wildflower laden meadows. A gravity-driven, roller-coaster thrill ride!
Harness up and clip in for a safe and fun time on Snow King Mountain’s Treetop Adventure Rope Course. You’ll have a blast flying through the air on ziplines, scrambling up nets, and bouncing over rope bridges.
Snow King Mountain’s summer offerings include the challenging Amaze’n Maze and an 18-hole Putt Putt Mini Golf course. There’s also a Bungee Trampoline and a free Bouldering Park.
Those after something a touch more relaxing can enjoy a Scenic Chairlift Ride or the New Storm King Gondola. Take in expansive views of the Tetons. Stunning.
